Persistant Genital Disorder in Women

Excerpt from today's story

Priapism was named after the Greek God Priapus who was punished for attempting to rape a Goddess. He was given an enormous but useless set of wooden genitalia. Like women, men with this condition cannot relieve the erection with either physical or psychological stimulation.

The Cat's Second Scent Organ

Excerpt from today's story

From the moment of birth a tiny kitten will use its nose to find his mother and search for a nipple (teat). From that point forward it will search for food in the same manner. Feral cats will locate food in very strange or hidden places. Sick or elderly cats may have trouble finding food, as they may not be able to smell it. Warming up the food releases the odor so the cat will be able to locate the food easier.

Today's Story:

Suicide Prevention Week

Excerpt from today's story

In 2008, 1103 individuals ended their lives by suicide in the province of Quebec. The majority of these suicides were in rural areas of Quebec, where the employment levels were high and access to government programs inaccessible by many. Julie Campbell, the president of The Quebec Association for Suicide Prevention says that one of the factors associated with not getting the help in rural areas is that many people do not have a car to get around.
